New plugin for wordpress from PhotoShelter

I have had the goal for a long time to integrate my blog with my homepage www.roberthammar.com. Now I feel it is time to have it done. A new plugin from Shelter Photo makes it easier for me to post pictures directly into a post from my blog without leaving WordPress. The new plugin will simplify my planning of the integrated homepage.

My planned look of the blog and the homepage is that both will look the same, so you as a visitor will get a thinking that it’s same homepage when you are clicking around my websites. I will use a redesigned theme that Brian Gardner have created. Its same theme as I use for my photography learning site FOTOonlineskolan.

In seanon of fresh green peas, it’s very popular here in Finland. You can find green peas in every supermarket, market square or beside the road in the country side. I keep away from them as they give me gases, but my kids love them. Here are some pictures of Green Peas taken in my homestudio.

Millan’s wedding in Finland

Millan is a mother of one son in our kids school. She asked me if  I could do their wedding shooting in 6 November. I spend about 6 hours with the lovely wedding couple on their fist day of marriage.  They had their reception at a golf club an hours drive from Helsinki City.

Yesterday I met a lovely wedding couple Kaarin and Ronald with their young son in Helsinki City Finland. They are getting married 4th of July 2009. Last Thursday we had a pre-wedding shooting, and a very nice talk. They are a very nice couple, and I’m really looking forward to do theirs wedding.

My buddy and photographer Brian Williams sent me a photo from our great trip to Spain, and the Ujena Bikini Jam. In the picture me photographer Robert Hammar who is taking pictures of bikini model Isela Palacios, photographer Johan Rosén holding a diffuser, and out of the picture Melani Rose holding a reflector. Two of the absolute best models in Ujenas staff will arrive a few days before the activity starts in Puerto Vallarta. Why will two of the world best models come to the event couple of days before the event? I think it’s because two of the world best bikini photographers will be there at the very same time. The professional bikini photographer Johan Rosén and I will shoot these two beautiful bikini models, a few days before the competitions starts.

Johan and I are in Puerto Vallarta to represent and to win the photo bikini contest. If I get a sponsor I can represent Finland even although I’m Swedish.

Johan is a very good friend of mine, and I’m really looking forward to spend couple weeks with him as well as with Rabecca and Erika who are very super duper models.

New website for pictures

Yesterday I started to work on a new website for my photography work. I wanted to have a place where I can show my work. Also a marketplace and a website that where it is easy for my clients to access their pictures. PhotoShelter give a great solution for photographers. They say that it’s easy to get started but it took some time to figure out how everything works. The website is not ready, it is still some work to do, but anyway it’s working. I have to upload some more pictures. Link to the new website.

Picture below is a shot from last wedding. I used three Canon Speedlite 580EX II, triggered with Pocket Wizards. The shot was taken in a office building of an insurance company in Helsinki City. More pictures in my previous post.

I had a test shooting with Laura and Niko who are getting married on Saturday 21 February. We checked the location and I can start to make some plans for the lightning. This shot of the couple is the one I like most. It took me a minute to set up the light.

Note in Swedish for students attending to my next workshop in flash photography:

Scenen är i tre ljusplan, förgrund, grund (kan det heta så?) och bakgrund. Alla plan är ljussatta olika. Förgrund med befintligt ljus och spill från blixt, paret med en blixt i paraply, och bakgrunden med en tredje ljuskälla, det blåa ljuset, med golvlampan. Jag tänkte jag skulle ta en liknande bild på lördag men då ljussätter jag förgrunden med en blixt. I förgrunden tänkte jag placera brudens bukett. Vi får se hur den bilden kan se ut.
