A trip to Sveaborg in Helsinki with my kids

Last Thursday, we had a case to the Swedish embassy. My children needs a passports for an upcoming trip to Tallin end of July. As usual, you are always kindly responded at the Swedish Embassy in Helsinki. I did not have enough money for the passports but I could leave my children at the embassy staff to go away to pick out more money for the passports.

After our visit, we took a trip to the Sveaborg island. (Sveaborg is the Swedish name for the island, and in Finnish that would be Suomenlinna). The pictures here are from yesterday’s day trip. All photos are taken with a Lensbaby 3G attached to my Canon 5D.

A day in Borgbacken – Linnanmäki in Helsinki

The Children’s Day Foundation collects funds for child welfare work. “The Foundation maintains and develops the Linnanmäki amusement park, which is a place for people of all ages to have fun and laugh together.” In Swedish Linnanmäki is Borgbacken, and in English it would be like Castlehill. Our family spend a day at the park.

The first two pictures are taken by my daugthers, Olivia Hammar six years old, and Antonia Hammar eight years old. As you can see they start to be really good in photography. 3rd picture is taken by me and my assistent is Olivia who is holding a Canon Speedlite 580EX on camera left. You might can figure out where she is sitting in the bus. Last two pictures are taken with Lensbaby 3G.
